The shipyard
Barqa is based in Roccalumera, in the province of Messina, and is the brand of the GPA srl shipyard founded by siblings Giulia and Giuseppe Allegra.
It produces small fibreglass motorboats, with hulls laminated and assembled in-house. The range consists of three models with outboard power: the Q17, a console boat measuring 4.99 m, the Q19, an open model measuring 5.53 m, and the Q20, a console boat measuring 6.35 m. These are boats for day cruising, fishing and coastal use, with a centre console, sundeck at the bow and power outputs between 40 and 115 hp.
